Ewan Gordon McGregor was born in Crieff, Perth, Scotland on March 31, 1971 and raised in Crieff. At age 9 he decided to follow in his uncle Dennis Lawson's (Wedge, a rebel pilot in Star Wars) footsteps. When he made it to my age, 16, he left home and joined the Perth Repertory Theatre of Scotland. He soon left this to move on to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England. In 1993, things picked up for him, he landed a role on a television movie called Lipstick on Your Collar and in the film Being Human. After this flop, he did not become discouraged, and joined forces (haha-Star Wars) with director Danny Boyle. Shallow Grave and Trainspotting were made, and Ewan hit stardom through these. He surprised the world by his next role choice, in Emma, proving that he was not just a bad boy. That's why we love Ewan, he can fit anywhere. Shortly after Trainspotting, Ewan married Eve Mouvrakis- a very lucky woman- and Clara Mathilde (1996) and Esther Rose (2001) were born.
